G.O. Members Sail the Hudson!

Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

The North Rockland High School Student Government sailed the Clearwater Sloop on the Hudson River for a day of leadership empowerment and team building.  Members of the GO Cabinet, active members and Mr. Garcia, GO Adviser, had a wonderful afternoon. The trip was sponsored by Cornell University Cooperative Extension 4-H and the Hudson Youth Leadership Academy.

“Our experience in the sail boat was amazing. We learned many new things about the Hudson River. As a group we all had to raise the sail. “It was a lot of hard work but as a team we all did it together.” said Cristal Martinez. “We learned that there are over 200 different species in the water. “Said Lisneiry Guzman. “The sailors talked about old things that were found in the water” said Erika Lema. Overall, we learned, and enjoyed an afternoon of  team building.”
