NJROTC’s Area 4 Drill Meet, with Cadet/CPO Gonzalez

“On Sunday, the 11th of February 2017, North Rockland High School hosted the Area Four drill meet which is the event before a school gets selected to go to Pensacola, Florida where “the Nationals” are hosted. Nine schools came to compete on the drill deck in several competitions which include drill, armed drill, basic drill, color guard, inspection, PT, and many more. NJROTC Area 4 Manager Commander Jimmie L. Miller was also an honored guest as well as other Marine, Navy,  and Army judges who scored all events. Through the entire competition the NJROTC cadets worked hard to make sure the entire competition ran smoothly. In the end, the unit from Colts Neck, NJ won first place overall and will work hard for the nationals. Our own NRHS NJROTC cadet, executive officer, Janna White got third place in knock-out, out of more than 400 cadets who participated. Although we did not prevail, the North Rockland cadets are more motivated to achieve higher goals during next year’s drill season.”
